Our Story
Welcome to Dr. Pipette Pen — innovators of the iconic pipette pen ! Founded by a biotech enthusiast with a passion for making science fun, we’ve taken one of the most iconic symbols of the scientific world—the pipette—and transformed it into a sleek, functional pen you can take anywhere.
A scientist's lab coat isn't never without a trusty pipette. After all, what better way to honor the tools of the trade than by creating a pen that looks like one? Enter Dr. Pipette Pen: the first (and only, as far as we know) pipette-inspired writing instrument available to everyone. We’re proud to offer our signature pen in three bold colors, each one customizable to suit your personal style.
Whether you're a scientist, a student, or just a fan of clever design, Dr. Pipette Pen adds a little bit of science flair to your daily writing. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, we’re a small but mighty team with one mission: to bring the fun of science into your everyday life, one pipette-inspired pen at a time.
What are you waiting for? Don’t miss your chance to wow your team, friends, labmates, or any science lover in your life — or hey, treat yourself! We wouldn’t judge.
Meet the Maker!
Hi there! I’m Josh, the founder and creator of Dr. Pipette (the original 3D-printed pipette pen). Over the past year, it has been an incredible honor to transform Dr. Pipette as it has grown from a simple idea into the top brand for custom-engraved pipette pens!
Having spent over 3+ years working in a psychology laboratory, I experienced firsthand the elusive appeal of the famed "pipette pen" and wanted to share this excitement with fellow researchers, scientists, and pipette pen enthusiasts.
Above all, thank you supporting this passion project. I hope you love our pens as much as we’ve loved creating them!!
